UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination 2013


Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination for filling up various vacancies in medical departments of Government Organizations. The CMS exam-2013 will be held on 30 June 2013. Interested candidates can apply online for Medical Officer & Junior Scale Vacancies till 6 May 2103.

5. General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) in New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC)
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2013): Below 32 years for attending the exam.
[Upper age limit relax-able by 3 years for OBC candidates and by 5 years for SC / ST candidates.]
Educational Qualifications: MBBS.
Candidates awaiting results / appearing for their final year MBBS examination are eligible to apply.
Application Fee: Non-refundable application fee of Rs.200 has to be paid either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of SBI / State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur / State Bank of Hyderabad / Mysore / Patiala / Travancore or by using any Visa / Master Credit / Debit Card.
Female, SC / ST / PWD / candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the written test and Personality Test.
Verification of documents will be taken up for only those candidates who qualify for Interview / Personality test.
E-admission certificates for eligible candidates will be made available on the UPSC website three weeks before the commencement of the exam.
Note: There will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
Candidates qualifying in the objective type written examination will have to fill in a Detailed Application Form subsequently as per the instructions to be provided to the candidates through the Commission‘s website 
How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates can apply online through UPSC website till 6 May 2013, after which the link will be disabled. On-line Application is in two parts -- Part-I, and Part-II.
Candidates should first fill in Part I of the online application, then deposit the fee in any one of the two ways described above and then fill in the Part II of the online application.
They should also keep scanned copies of their photo and signature ready before applying.
After submitting the application, candidate should take its print-out and retain it for reference.
No certificates / mark sheets are required to be uploaded along with the 'online application form'.
All candidates are required to provide valid active E-Mail I.D. while filling up the Online Application Form as the Commission will use electronic mode for contacting them at different stages of examination process. Candidates are advised to check their emails at regular intervals for any update.
Candidates are advised to submit only single application; however, if due to any unavoidable situation, a candidate submits another/multiple applications, then he/she must ensure that the application with the higher RID (Registration ID) is complete in all respects and they have deposited fee for it, as the applications with higher RID will be entertained by the Commission.
Candidates willing to be admitted for more than one service / post need to send in one application only and also pay the fees once only. They will, however, be required to indicate preference for the service / post at the appropriate time.
